Marc
Though I was born in the USA, I've lived in Africa most of my life. I placed my faith in Jesus Christ at age 10 and served alongside my parents as they planted churches in Southern Africa. Originally, I planned to work in conservation by becoming a large animal vet. But the Lord burdened me for full-time ministry. While studying at a public university in South Africa I took night and weekend classes at the missionary-run Bible institute over a four-year period. During my first summer back in the States to continue my studies at seminary, I met Nancy who was following the Lord into full-time missions.

I grew up in Rochester, NY.
When I was 9, I trusted in Christ
as my Savior and was active in
the children's and youth ministries at my church. My family regularly hosted missionaries in their home, and this impacted my life. After college, I worked as a nurse for 2 ½ years at a mission clinic in West Africa. Marc and I were married in 1993 and arrived in South Africa in 1996 where both of our children (Nicole 27; Matthew 24) were born. Nicole is married to Alex Boyle (they have 1 daughter and a baby due in May!). They are on deputation to church plant in Namibia. Matthew has his Masters in mechanical engineering and is currently job-hunting in Colorado, while serving in his local church. There is no greater joy for us than to see that our children love the Lord and seek to serve Him in their lives.
